i like CS Lewis as a narrator. feels like a grandpa telling a bedtime story and sounds like a Disney movie narrator

i had no way of knowing Ch 8 was going to be that long and literal/practical; it was a breakdown of what each piece in the liturgy is. insightful, just didn’t expect the chapter to be so much

true to his gender, the book has much information to offer in each chapter, new knowledge to acquire, but less practical advice on how to solve or go about the problems being presented

1. Tamar was not an esteemed Bible character
2. Esmeralda is not a villain nor related to “mirror mirror on the wall”

picked up for a reread to figure out to whom i can gift it to for Christmas and ended up critiquing it a lot more than i’d have preferred. for now, i’m putting it down again

it’s SO hard to read Tozer at this point (ch. 19)

i didn’t realize how short this is, i breezed through the past chapters

i just wanted to unwind but the events just won’t stop coming!!! 😭
