Ken is finished with Mutant City (Mutant City, #1)
I would recommend this book who loves A LOT of action and suspense and things that include superpowers or science-fiction things. Two social issues that I came across in this novel are economic inequality since there's a political separation between the Mutants and the Pures. The Pures has a higher social than the mutants. Another social issue I found is Conflict and Corruption since there's a lot of fighting.

The author wrote an awesome suspenseful foreshadow in the last paragraph of page 96. "...he didn't bother to investigate the cavern properly. If he had, he would have spotted the stark white animal bones around the stony shoreline: bones of the animals that had made the tracks in the passageway. Bones of the last creatures to visit that place". It foreshadows that Rush would have to meet something, a deadly creature.

This chapter has a lot of vocabularies that I have trouble with e.g.
reinvigorate, which means to give new energy or strength to and ravage; cause damage or severe. I predict, from noticing a bit of repetition so far, that Rush would have to meet more and more companions on the way to City Six. I think that these companions would also be mutants like him. But I'm wondering what are his powers (since he's a mutant).

For each chapter, the author would but one character name as a "chapter title", which was, for me, useful. It was useful because the character name was the "main character" for that chapter. So the chapter's name was "Brick" (the chapter I'm currently on) and I suddenly felt happy because I was waiting for the author to start a chapter about him because the author described him as someone with healing factors.

From where I stopped, it was pretty suspenseful. Since Tia had broken one of the rules which would get her killed, she did this so that she escaped the city so she can sneakily enter the Mutant Getto. Also, Tia reminds me of the Disney character, Aladdin because both characters had a pet companion a monkey. Overall, I really love this book because mainly, it is sci-fiction and it includes superpowered people.

I was shocked to learn that a Roman emperor named Constantine became a Christian. It was shocking because the Romans believed that they should worship the emperor and not Christian gods. The emperor would persecute any Christian found until Constantine became emperor. Before a very important war, Constantine came upon the cross of christ and after that he won the war which means God of the Christians helped him.

I learned more about Roman emperors especially Julius Caesar. He was a really popular leader (before he was actually the king of Rome). He conquered many cities, treated his army well and was fair to the citizens, that was why he was loved and was very popular. He moved up from a consul to a king. He took away the senator's powers from ruling the city of Rome so the senators decide to murder Julius Caesar.

After the reading the chapter about China's first emperor, Shi Huangdi, I learned why Shi built the Great Wall of China-to keep the Mongol tribes out from intruding China. It took many "emperor generations" to build it because it was over 8,000 kilometers long. Instead of using (since it was scarce), they used wooden frames and filled it up with dirt. Shi ordered his prisoners and every grown men to work on the wall.

Before, I wondered what one particular painting meant. It was a painting of a man splitting the ocean up for large amounts of people to cross. After reading some chapters in this book the story, I finally realized the man was Moses and he helped the Israelites escape Egypt. He cleared the ocean so the slaves can cross to the other side. Then Moses made the ocean normal again so the Egyptians soldiers couldn't follow.

An interesting fact I learned from the short stories in the book is that people in every kingdom what each dream means. For example, Gilgamesh, the strongest man in the world that could lift anything up , had a nightmare that "a huge axe appeared at his door-an axe so big and sharp he couldn't even lift it". His mother said it meant that a man is coming that could destroy him. He will have to make friends with or die

One of the big things I never knew about Egyptians is, every year, the Nile River will flood into the villages. I thought it was bad because the overflow of water will destroy the crops. Instead, it was actually beneficial. After many years of flood, the farmers decide to move their place to farm so they don't die and after the flood ended, rich silt will be washed up on shore and which will be good for planting on.

I love the illustration in the book especially the scene where Quint and Jack perched on the hill and saw a huge population of zombies in a group where the shrieking voice came from and their enormous treehouse.

I read the first book already and it was super awesome. This book level is kinda easy, but I refer to it as a "break" from reading challenging chapter books with more than 350 pages

There're so many ups and downs towards the ending. One moment (when I was reading) I would say yes! and then the next moment I will yell no! Because Patterson is such an amazing author, this book hooked me in the moment I passed the first chapter. One thing that I dislike about the storyline is when the flock reached new york they kept going to irrelevant places for like 10 chapters (and one chapter is pretty short.)

After Amy watched the orientation video, New Hope made me suddenly connect to the community in the Giver because the place was so controlled and there was barely freedom, for example, you can't decide who you want to have children with and in New Hope people needs to have children every three years!

Connecting with the other book I'm reading, Escaping Velocity, my inference is I'm towards the part where the antagonists starts to prepare for the "final battle".

I currently like the status of the of the book because, like in the movies, the protagonists are coming up with a plan for the "final battle" like in the past two books of the series. When HIVE mind appeared in the form of the robot ninja assassin, it made me connect to Vision, in the avengers because they both have superpowers, part computer, part human and they both have feeling (even though they're a robot).

The author of the story did an amazing job at describing the action in the story. Such as on page 193, in a car chases, he used vocabulary like "swerved" and phrases like "shooting forward with a roar on a collision course". To me, I say the the author makes the story more fluent when he uses two points if view in the story from groups of characters in different places, but they are happening at the same time.

I like how the author switches from the story of the future to the story from "now". When she switches, they're somehow connected. For example, when she switches from the future story ending with the sentence "finding Dr.Reynolds", the "now" story's first sentence starts with Dr.Reynolds. But now, I have a bad feeling about Rice because like the book "Land of Stories", the protagonist's crush betrays her at the end.

My inference is that the bald man who killed Gregori was Nero but he know that Gregori knew about the secret project Nero was behind. Also, aren't GLOVE members are allowed to murder another member?
