i am ASTONISHED at how amazing this book is, way more so than it's predecessor. i am so happy i kept going with the series. i cant put it down!

gosh this book and series is just fucking infuriating. im ready to give this book my 1 star because where has the plot gone ???? WHERE are the characters i fell IN LOVE WITH in mist & fury.

sidra and torin storyline is cute but dragged out and taking center stage. why was jack summoning spirits taking the backseat to their martial issues?

kind of upset because i think itll end in a cliff hanger with a war impending and i do not want to read the second book. also, i wish jacks dad was a spirit, it would have been waaaay cooler than...

im sorry but the longer this book goes on the more obvious it is that clara actually is complicit in all this, even if she acts like she didnt know. girl wdym you went to the auctions and heard them call your girls 'merchandise' ?? she should go to prison at least 5 years

macy should have been the catalyst in this story, seeing how obssessed clara was w finding out what happened to her regardless of consequences. her bffl should have killed herself, leading clara to rethink her whole life -- why was macy pushed to such an extreme and definitive action? then from there, we see that clara's flashbacks of her and macy playing were actually her real sister and her the day she was taken.

was loving this.... until clara made a full 180 with no external pushes. THAT WAS WHAT THE WHOLE BOOK HAS BEEN BUILDING UP TO!!!! what would make her finally realize that she was a victim.

She goes from idc if these are my real parents to I am a bad person because everything theyre saying is true! it put a sour taste in my mouth because what has this all been for then?
