Jesus Christ, he can't help himself, can he? What did I say in my last review? "Do not split the two corps apart, not yet." What's the first thing he does? He splits the two corps apart and turns Soranik into a villain for the sake of it. Stupid, stupid, stupid! And, of course, he brings back Sinestro. Really, if it took so little to tip Soranik over the edge, she's beyond redemption.

"Wait until everyone hears that Hal Jordan - the will-iest will-er who ever willed - needed my help because he couldn't get his ring to do what he wanted."

Wow, Kyle really is a douche.

A few errors in logic in the translation as well. Oh, well.

It drags a bit with Erwin Josef's kidnapping and the translation leaves quite a bit to be desired but, overall, it's good.

Quick thoughts. It was predictably boring at the beginning, relying on way too much 80s nostalgia that doesn't work so well when you're a 90s kid. I get the feeling this story would be much cooler if you could watch it with friends and see who can spot the most references to other media. I can see why Spielberg decided to update the narrative. Story gets a bit better when Wade uncovers the location of the first key.

Zahn's definitely not hiding the parallels between Sherlock, Watson, and Moriarty now, is he? Also just realized that Pryce is the Imperial officer/governor from Rebels. Too bad Thrawn in Rebels isn't the same as in this book.

Not bad. A pity that we don't get to spend more time at the Academy on Coruscant and see exactly how much of a genius Thrawn is. I mean, I know 'cause I've read the Thrawn Trilogy and Outbound Flight but odds are most people haven't. Newcomers may find themselves a bit puzzled by Thrawn right now. Who is he? Is he really a military genius?

Loving the story so far. It's like a von Lipwig story but with a different main character.

Liking it so far though I would've preferred if they had slowly built Korra and Asami's relationship rather than immediately establish it at the onset of the first issue of the first book. At times I was reminded of Korra's brash and impulsive attitude from the times of Book 2, particularly in regards to her harsh treatment of her father at one point (remember how that went with Unalaq?).

The art takes a little while to get used to but it fits this particular tale that strongly reminded me of the more classical JSA stories. It has a photographic quality to it that really makes it stand out but would probably not work as well in a continuous run. The story comes across as a more nuanced, dare I say better, version of Injustice and I'm curious to see where Mark Waid takes it.

It does the job so far. Unfortunately, it misses the opportunity to introduce some easter eggs (e.g.: expanding on the dialogue between Chief and Diana).

Pretty boring so far. We follow 50 different characters on 20 different stories when all I wanted to read about was Terry McGinnis travelling to the past to prevent the future from coming to pass. And we read about that... every once in a while. There's just too much stuff going on at the same time. I wish they had narrowed the scope like they did with Flashpoint 'cause this story sorely needs it.
