Quite on the fantasy side. I should have known I wouldn't like it. I read a book by Neil Gaiman last year and did not enjoy it. Some of the writers come off "sounding" the same. They put too many commentaries on their narratives, with hints of cheekiness. Is this a trend right now? :'( *maybe I'm behind my times, but I don't appreciate it.

It started off really great until "The Pursuer". The longest story in the collection turned out to be the dullest. Mostly because I really don't care that much about jazz, I think. (For me jazz is not the fantastic.) I'd much rather Julio turn into axolotl and vomitting them bunnies.
