I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to finish this one. There's a difference between a lovable quirky character and an obnoxious exhausting one!

Already I'm disgusted by the tired and very inaccurate stereotypes in this book. (The idea that conservatives are rich, snobby, lying racists and that liberals are peaceful, benevolent and compassionate.) I don't know if I'll bother finishing the book if this continues. We have enough division in our country without novels contributing to it as well!

Interesting. Thought-provoking. Will keep your attention from beginning to end as all of Picoult's books do. However, there are some outright untruths that are impossible to ignore.

Very interesting. Some outright lies but still an intriguing read.

While I disagree with the author on many of her viewpoints, she definitely has a way of holding your attention. Some of her opinions are contradictory and some chapters are just plain whining but itnwas interesting to learn more about her background after reading her books for the past decade.

There are few things more annoying to me than a liberal feminist. Even though Weiner has some pretty ridiculous beliefs, what does it say about her writing that she sucks me in anyway every time? I can't put it down.

Fantastic book for anyone who has a Christian worldview. Very challenging and thought-provoking as well as convicting. Read it with a lot of prayer and soul-searching.

Regina is reading Multiply: Disciples Making Disciples
I wanted to read this book not only because I love reading Francis Chan's books, but also I was hoping to learn more about making disciples. However, this book is more of a tool to use WHILE you are already discipling somebody. It doesn't really tell you how to go about making disciples.

Regina is on page 64 of 400 of Gumption: Relighting the Torch of Freedom with America's Gutsiest Troublemakers
Several things stand out to me:
1. Dude is obsessed with race.
2. He frequently goes off on tangents.
3. Book would be better if he'd stick more to history and less to personal opinions.
4. Love his way with words, even if sometimes it gets to be a bit "much."

So interesting! It's covered the good (military heroism) and the bad (nepotism) and the ugly (Bay of Pigs) so far.

It's a little tough going at first because the author's writing style is a little too descriptive for my taste. You get bogged down in the endless details. But if you could look past that, it's a gripping story and very well-told in 3 different characters. One other little complaint--very bizarre names.

I'm still trying to keep all the characters straight. I can really relate to Jenn though. I too crave adventure and sometimes feel like I'm missing out. I also relate to guys much better than girls and actually prefer guy friends.

Regina is reading Secrets She Left Behind (Before the Storm #2)
This book has been a little more complex than the previous Chamberlain books I have read. It starts out present day, but refers to much that has happened in the past. This can be confusing, but throughout the book you are made aware piece by piece of what happened in the past. It's intriguing to say the least!
