Very reminsant of The Handmaid's Tale and an all too real look at what could happen in the future. For other readalikes - The Book of Ivy and the Chemical Garden trilogy.
Pros - no love triangles. Standalone book.
Interesting useage of "Mother Hawk" and other vaguely Native ideas and useage of herbs to heal. Also an interesting mix of old West (horses and carriages and bows and guns) with new tech.
