this book is killing me!!

this is turning into a DNF...
Chapter one about the apes was the interesting one. The moon chapter was way less interesting but helped me through. The third part is just... I can't work it. HAL has more personality than the two crewmembers and everything is so. extremely. boring.

started this in the train last night. favorite character was the first to go. :(

Second time I'm trying this one. I didn't finish the first time. I still don't like Quinn and Caleb, they irritate the shit out of me and I don't know why. Fox is an okay guy though. He's dragging me through this.

I am having a hard time getting through this one, tbh. I love Preston and I have liked his books a lot in the past. But this one just isn't working for me. It's slow-paced, the characters are not interesting and some chapters feel like they're thrown in to give you an idea of who the characters are, even though that slows down the book more. I will finish. One day... I hope.
