I've been in a reading slump. I should have known Tijan would pull me out of it.

Don't really like Emi....so far not a huge fan of Nate....

Don't judge me for reading this! Ten years ago their show was my guilty obsession and I can't help but want to know the truth behind the facade. At least one person's version of it.

Most of the other books I've read by this author have been about strong women who have fought against being marginalized. This is a woman who fought the same fight on a grander scale, and yet she's been made to seem unable to function without a man. So frustrating.

So far she seems spoiled and entitled. I'm not really liking her.

This really is an almost EXACT retelling of the first. So many places that could be expanded to provide genuinely new information are just glossed over to get to the next scene that we've already read.

His inner monologue is incredibly repetitive.

I am afraid this book is bearing the brunt of a number of criticisms I am currently wrestling with. First is my irritation at female characters eventual thankfulness at having their free will forcibly stripped of them. The second is the forcing of women into specific stereotypes to appease others. This book has both of these. That these issues are not unique to this book is bothering even more.

Nope.

With them repeatedly telling me what a bad boy he is, I guess I have to believe him.

And now we have reached the part of the book that I find tedious and boring. Skipping a bit ahead.
