It’s finally happening. I’ve had this book on my TBR since it came out .. loved the first two but they are some mind benders. I’ve tried to start it twice already.

Let’s see if my brain is with me this time around.

Current takeaway from this: No matter how much you plan, you can never plan for human error. Or even non-human error. Or just error in general

Hmmm … I don’t think this one will be having a ‘nice’ outcome given the interspersed ‘but they didn’t do that, and that will bite them in the ass’ lines 😅

I completely forgot how much Crichton makes you believe that he is literally just reporting what happened in real life …

So far so good. Really enjoying this book so far — very Good Omens coded.

He did use the word ‘wronger’ at one point though and I can’t let that slip.

Did not expect to ugly cry this early on …

Did I pick this up thinking it would be heavy on the ecocriticism? No.
Am I mad that it turns out to be a sort of ‘magical realism, eco-critique, dystopian, fantasy’? Also no.

We shall see how this develops.
Also, Lancelot is way gay. So it is quite source-faithful.
