I'm not being pulled into it in the same way I was with the first. Not a fan of the new POV that's been added. But I love Kai, and the glimpses of Kitt we see are great. I want to see where it goes and if it gets better, but I'm 100 pages in and not much has happened 😅

Chapter 21 was so good 😍!!
The banter, the romance, the deep conversations about Death as a concept hit me in the feels.
So so good.

Deciding my first read of the year should be a reread, I picked up this because I remember loving it and it's been 5 years. Lets see if I still love it :)

I loved the start of this. It was so dramatic, I was devouring it. And then after the main plot of the previous book was kind of wrapped up, it started to slow. I know the remaining plot will be about saving Kat but I just can't bring myself to read on. I feel like the story is finished where I'm at.

I've made it 64% of the way through but I have to DNF this. It is so beyond toxic. If Nix doesn't get his way he basically forces her to submit into having sex to get his way. Hes forcing himself on her nearly ever chapter. Not once has she been the one to make a move. Shes even said no and he just says shes lying. Utterly disgusting. No chemistry. No plot. Super dull, how there is 40% left is beyond me. DNF.

A little slow to start but I am adoring it. Thorne's thoughts are so interesting and heartwarming!

I'm so sad because I am going to have to DNF this. I have tried so hard to push through because I love Rebecca Crunden's writing and I like the premise of this. But when the change from part 1 to part 2 is so jarring that it makes it really hard to read or want to keep reading. I tried to skip ahead to part 3 but then I felt that I had missed too much. A real shame because I loved Kol and Thorn!

I'm loving this just as much as the first so far. Simone is literally saying everything I'm thinking. I'm development of all the relationships and I am so in the dark about what is going to happen next

The first 6% of this book is just an extensive description of the previous book. I feel like I learnt more about the characters in that 6% than the entire 300ish pages of the last book

I'm still not too keen on the writing style. The dialogue is definitely too few and far between. I am however loving the mystery so I need to keep reading. I also love Kane. Lilah is getting on my nerves because she has 0 redeemable qualities but I think that's the point of her character. Definitely conflicted on this but im going to keep reading

So far I'm enjoying it. The writing is a little verbose but nothing that irritates me too much. I love the premise and when characters interact its great and pretty funny. Like I said, just the description and internal thought dragging it down since its very heavy.

I am in love with this. I already knew I loved Navessa Allen's writing, so this being awesome was no surprise.
But Krista - she blew me away. She is so badass. I am in love!

The writing is amazing. It can only be described as endearing. The humour is great. It was a little slow to start but it's definitely getting into it.
The plot is so much fun and I am loving the characters. I cant wait to see where it goes.

I was loving this. And then Part 2 started. I have jo idea what is going on, have we gone forward in time or back or is it a parralel universe or what? You spend half the book with all these characters you love and getting to know the world and then out of nowhere that is all taken away and your thrown into what seems to be a completely different book? I am so confused and its really hampering my enjoyment.

So far it's not blowing me away but I'm, not hating it either. Yes, it was way too convenient that this dream job just appeared after years of not being able to find anything but its a only a short book so can i really complain?

So far I am loving this. The banter is so funny and so cute. I love the plot and the back-stories. Its such a perfect pick-me-up, feel-good college romance that just makes your heart happy.
Also... Princess Bride Refrences?! Automatic 5 star 😂

I'm finding the time jumps pretty confusing. I haven't read any of the ones prior to this in the series as I was told I could read it as a standalone but I definitely feel a little out of my depth

I am in love with this book! Seriously, I'm half way through and there isnt a single word I haven't read and loved! I have a feeling this is going to be a new fave. The humour is off the charts and their blossoming friendship is too too sweet
