Yes I am reading this again and no I have not sustained extensive brain damage

I thought I wouldn’t like this book nearly as much the second time around but I’m really getting into it again

Sitting in a camper trailer at night with the wind howling sounds okay but flying four and a half hours over Greece in 1941 sounds a whole lot better and makes me look lame

I can’t believe I’ve owned neverwhere for so long and haven’t read it till now. Like this book has been to France and this book has walked the Camino de Santiago and this book has such a great premise idk why I didn’t read it earlier

Just finished issue 1 out of 10. Thoughts: the movie streamlines the plot much better, some panels are very confusing, potential love interest is underage, V wears different masks? (Shocking!), and V doesn’t spout as much ‘towering intellectual’ crap which makes him seem less like the V I know and love

IVE HEARD ENOUGH OF SHRINKING TESTICLES AND SMALL BREASTS

An author writing about fear “causing his testicles to shrink” is the equivalent of writing about cold making a woman’s nipples show through her shirt and it makes me supremely uncomfortable

Never did I think I would read a male barbarian power fantasy and LIKE IT

Although it is quite good, bringing down women from positions of power and punishing their initiative AND slaving almost every woman is just a tad bit misogynistic I have to say

So we’re just supposed to accept there’s 2 oracles now? No explanation? And why are there 2 Irish people? Also no explanation? They literally said ONE PERSON and then Ireland picks two and nobody reacts, that would not fly in real life. Also, Matthew Reilly, exclamation points do not make action sequences exciting please stop there’s too many

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH

The audiobook is bad quality, sound’s uneven and the reader is inconsistent; we already know what’s going to happen; the world building is clunky; snow is intolerable; and what even is tigress’s character? She lives to serve Snow and she has no personality I bet she’s going to die
