Felix Ward, better known as Mickey Free, was captured by the Western Apache in 1861. His life would wind in and out of the Apache wars fro the next quarter century, not trusted by either side and considered a side note in history but he would play a "Sinister and crucial role" for the next 25 years in ongoing Apache war against the white eyes.

This is a great book to focus your descriptions. The work sheet at the end helps you to find where you can improve. It is one of those books that all beginning authors (and some who are a bit more experienced) need to read.
