Is this bad or am I in a reading slump? Both??

I should quit reading because I don't like anything happening here. I've had this on hold for MONTHS and I'm so disappointed. I loved my last 831 and was excited for this publisher. I'll probably finish since I have 3 hours of audiobook left and an entire work day left.
