Growing up is universal and so is a great story.

Atmospheric and brutal but some parts could’ve been tighter. A good time nonetheless.

Terrific and terrifying, probably has the most horrific 6 pages in English literature I’ve ever read. If you’re sensitive to violence or the suffering of living things or any life forms then definitely steer clear. But if you don’t mind it and especially if you can relate to the experiences of being a teenage boy then this is a must read.

Simple and effective storytelling, with a good ending that leaves out enough for speculation
