My biggest issue with this book is when she uses his shower, she double cleanses her hair and notes he doesn’t have conditioner she can use - but there’s no mention afterward of the absolute rat’s ness her hair must be.

Cassie, this is a man’s shower - just say he uses a 2-in-1. It’s far more believable.

As someone who doesn’t like honey - this sounds uncomfortably sticky and gross tasting.

Every time the narrator says ‘lioness’ I hear ‘Linus’. Makes for an interesting read.

Seriously, I’d be having a decent time if not for the ridiculous attempts at making a character sound angry. Who was editing this? Why didn’t they say anything? They did the author dirty.

Seriously. I enjoy the books and think they’re quick easy reads but this is ridiculous.

I’m not gonna be mean but this isn’t … great so far. It’s very cheesy (think all the latex, leather trench coats, and sunglasses in a nightclub cheesy from the late 90s/early 2000s) and it’s also very “tell” instead of showing the reader.

Can’t stand Georgie and Vektal in this.

This takes on a whole different tone after binge watching documentaries about cults.

I forgot how terrible the other humans are at explaining what’s going on. Also Georgie really frustrates me, I understand why she’s upset but Bek has no concept of what a slave is.

I feel like none of these characters read a book or saw a movie with amnesia. They’re so unreasonable, and apparently incapable of expressing themselves in a helpful manner.

I want to stay up and finish but my 30 something year old body says it’s bedtime.
