So I saw the musical Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 yesterday at the Donmar here in London. It is now my favourite musical. As I understand it, the story retells a 70 page section towards the end of War and Peace. I’ve decided to read the entire 1400 page thing over the Xmas/NY break. Wish me luck!!!

Been in a bit of a reading rut lately. Steamy romances and nerdy LitRPG, these have been my thing for a while now. But after a while, it's hard to get excited about the same old thing. Sometimes it's a real treat to go back to the old, old thing. YA romance. And with a lovely little story that speaks to my heart right now.

Am dropping a lot of books lately. Way more than I post about. Starting to feel like I've OD-ed on romance and LitRPG. Just because it's free on KU, don't mean it's good. Probably will be reading more old school sci-fi and fantasy for a bit. Not to say that that I'm giving up on romance, am always on the hunt for the perfect steamy friends-to-lovers romcom or femme-femme wlw, just slowing down a bit.

Don't usually comment mid-read, but honestly, I'm not loving this one as much as the first two. Set it aside for a bit, maybe I'll get back to it, maybe I won't. I mean how far can you take a plot based on the notion that "politicians are stupid"?
