I have found this book incredibly dry when it comes to the plot. However, the writing style is so unique and compelling. Hawthorne gives way more details then necessary, but I find myself charmed by it. It is definitely contributing to the slowness of the book, but I really like the way he describes things. Not even close to being one of my favorites, but there is something compelling about it nonetheless.

I’m honestly surprised by this book. I expected to hate it, but I’ve actually really enjoyed it. While I don’t support her politics, Noem’s book is well done. As someone who grew up in a farm, I really enjoyed the beginning perspective. I also appreciate that she doesn’t talk bad about democrats, but called out other republicans in washington

The further along this series goes, the less likable the characters become. I get the situation is complicated, but why is Sydney the only person smart enough to just communicate the issues…

Warren and Maggie are the best characters and Ridge doesn’t deserve them…

Only waiting three weeks before seeing Sydney is a little wrong in my opinion. Also he needs to just let her be, he screwed her over so hard.

All of Colleen Hoovers books are so similar but so different. I really like this book so far but it’s similar to Ugly Love where I just want the main character to realize they deserve so much better!!!

I’m not sure how I feel about Miles, but I’m liking this book so far. Colleen Hoover writes romances in a way that leaves room for surprises which is hard for me to find in a romance novel!
