Started reading it but found an audiobook version which reminds me of the scene in Louie where he’s reading a book to his daughters. Ummmmm yeah so this isn’t for me at all, literally wouldn’t have picked this up if it wasn’t written by Louis. I’m trying my best!!!!!!!!!

Why is this getting me nervous

Leslie just Gets It, the way she writes about falling in love and being a disaster. This is what she does best.

This one is going by so strangely. Nothing is really happening and the revelations are not interesting. The Recovering is one of my favorite books ever and this seems like the companion piece to it but it is a little lackluster!! I don’t have an exact page but I am around the part where she starts dating the musician.

DNF; I remember being in middle school and reading graphic novels and books that treated me like an intelligent young human being. I fear that a lot of modern middle grade books treat the readers like they’re delicate idiots. The modern aspects of the story (iPhones, modern lingo, etc) felt so stilted and strange. I usually enjoy Tillie Walden’s art as well but it felt too minimal. Simply couldn’t finish it.

oh so this book actually just sucks huh?

I was looking forward to this one but it is such endless drivel that barely scratches the surface of anything that could be even slightly interesting. Each chapter ends before it can even begin. It is shockingly pointless and unmoving. Finding it very difficult to continue on. Hoooo boy.
