Even if you have no interest in this series, go and look upon a copy of this book in person, it's so pretty! I have the b-cover paperback with the blue cover, and when you tilt it there is foiling that appears to be scales

I am really really unsure about this. The prose is beautiful and I found a review that sounds promising about the whole experience, but my level of depression, pain and brain fog make this kind of slow, meandering books challenging up to a point where it is questionable if it is worth the effort it will require for me to go through with this.
