Breakthrough or bullshit?

Very unusual and enjoyable. Can I actually understand and apply any of this?

. Structures are desires, beliefs, and objective reality. People take the path of least resistance, which is determined by the relevant structures. Some structures lead to oscillation - progress then regress, ad infinitum. Other structures lead to a destination.

Active listening = make sure you understood what they said, and that they know you did. Some similarities to NVC, when you own the problem, make a nonjudgmental description of what they did that caused the problem, how it makes you feel, perhaps explain why you feel that way by pointing to a tangible, concrete effect.

Chapter 1 claims that Deci's 3 early studies are often cited as evidence that extrinsic motivation undermines intrinsic, but that the results do not actually support this conclusion.

Other reviewers note that some of their predictions have already come true. Actually, I'd say that their timetable was too short or they are mistaken entirely.

Intuitive and deliberative cognition

Listening to th e audiobook, not sure what page. Kinda dull, not sure I will finish.

I think the ideas expressed here are important. I don't seem to be very engaged by the text, though. My progress is quite slow, and this part is dull. Maybe I will skip ahead. I have to take it back to the library and renew it already.
