Reminds me a bit of Trenton Lee Stewart. I'm sure my girls would love it. A light read so far if not a little on the nose. A sort of scrouge trope.

Found at a YMCA thrift store. (My fav store for book shopping) So far I've read the first chapter, and it was funny and somehow familiar. But I don't think I've read this book before.

I tend to gravitate towards this genre- books about books. It may be too meta for some but I find them refreshing. If you know of anymore please recommend.

More episodic than I expected. Minot leaves a lot of space for you to come to conclusions. Sometimes I feel like I've missed something, I also feel this way when reading Muriel Spark.

Caroline Gordon has excellent prose. Not too wordy, great clarity. ,So far I'm enjoying this more than her fiction.
