I love reading this from Snow’s POV bc we can see his narcissism, and the ways he convinces himself he’s doing the right thing. I keep calling him out. Literally yelling at the book lol

V glad I bought my own copy so I can annotate. They are keeping him alive to torture him and he doesn’t even know it, the smell of roses constantly!?

This is a really really dark and broken story. And between the cracks there are rays of light, specifically for mental health, emotional regulation. I see myself in some of these behaviors. Reminds me of The Bluest Eyes conversation around how we love each other and ourselves.

This is another sunken level of depth and despair, pain and trauma. If you cannot image this level of depravity, consider yourself lucky

Really great examples of mindfulness, honesty in emotions, forgiveness.

This is the kind of book everyone should read so they understand what it means to live through girlhood; a place where no girl is safe from the eyes, hands and assumptions of others.

Even if I stopped reading right now, I’d give this book 5 stars 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 serious trigger warnings for the psychological damage of SA, healing as well to know others have these thoughts and insightful.

It took him centuries to become a good person with morals and she’s taking on a mother role of an orphaned child at 17? Why can’t he just be a mentor

I love this book. The reasons why she trapped her magic, the reasons she releases it, the world, the people, the demons are scary... But I can't help but be creeped out every time Liska says that the Demon is tender or cute or whatever.

If this ageless demon falls in love with a teenager ….

Fantasy always feels like an epic. Why are these books so thick ?

This may have just become a 5 star. We’ll see about the ending. But this turn of events and the way it unfolds, it’s powerful

this book has everything, creepy, suspense, romance, realistic, action/adventure, inspired by a true story.

Who the heck did this? Who is lying? It must be a gang member. Maybe a parent? Maybe the Assistant principal who found him dead? Can we trust these narrators or are they lying to us? We are meant to think any one of these boys has the motive to kill the principal, but they are also good boys with dreams and goals. Such is life. No one is all good or all bad.

Pretentious and grandiose - if you’re looking for that unrealistic but wholesome and very serendipitous book.

I remember reading DID books years ago or watching tv shows and movies. And it felt like DID was a monster, a shock value jump scare. This is a therapy-driven life that every one needs, not just people with DID. Honestly making me a better person

It’s a little too new adult to be on a YA list

We’ve all probably heard that anxiety would have been a benefit to us before modern amenities. Now the anxiety is helping her during the apocalypse. In this story, she’s the hero not the burden

Butterflies are Anxiety. “Butterflies in my stomach” to another level

This is the kind of book people would be upset about. It’s violent, it’s vulnerable, it’s accusatory, it’s real.

This book is pissing me offfffffff a lot of times you have to ignore the shit that pisses you off bc it’ll kill you if you don’t. Think book forces you to look it in the eye. No wonder ppl are afraid to read. It makes you think.

YA Handmaids Tale. I don’t always read the book description. I just know the title and the genre most times. this book is not about summer camp murders at all.

I really don’t want to finish this book tbh. It’s honestly hard to tell who’s talking bc both characters are bantering and whitty and the poetry format doesnt use punctuation
