Also, uh, the population density doesn't make any sense. Earth's population is described as about 3x ours today, but North American metros are 10x dense slums for no particular reason (and the buildings as-described would actually be like 100x+ denser than today's metros).

I forgot that the economy in this universe makes no sense. But whatever, there's also FTL wormholes; it's magic.

Still super tedious. I don't think I'm gonna be able to finish re-reading this series.

This is basically not sci fi in any sense? Like, other than the mention of the number of suns/moons this might as well be historical fiction or fantasy or whatever.

Yeah I really don't like short story collections

Kinda hate reading short story collections. Just constant whiplash entering a new cast of characters / setting each time.

Pretty meh on this one this time around. Maybe 2/5 but I'll leave it 3 because I liked it a lot last time. The Azad bits are fun the the setup is kinda meh and there's lots of just weird for weird's sake.
