I'm reading this book way too fast for there not to be more books in the series available

If I have to read the word "sexist" one more time 🙄 I highly doubt I'm going to be able to read the 3rd book at this rate.

I need encouragement to finish this book. I'm halfway through it but I'm forcing myself to read it. The main characters apparently want to die and have zero common sense. The academy is full of vengeful teachers and asshole students. Why do I care about this universe?

I've enjoyed all of Auel's books. I've never complained about her obsessive details. Until now. Touring all the caves was harder to endure than watching paint dry. So I skipped it and picked up when something else was happening. I've never done this before, I'm not sure how I feel about it.

You loose the right to write or talk about Ancient Egypt when you write that Nefertiti was the favored wife of Ramses II.

A book this small shouldn't be this hard to read.

Being familiar with Italy, Venice and Italian would make this book easier to read.

I've been trying to read this book for about 3 years now. I keep picking it up and putting it down. Which is strange because normally I devour anything with Sekhmet's name on it.

I really like the section on herbs, which is where I just stopped reading.

I'm not very far in, on the Lover's card actually, but this book is a bit of a chore to read. I'm struggling to get through the part about The Lovers because it's a definition that I don't agree with. I know that everyone has their own interpretation of each card, but this one just rubs me the wrong way.

I grew up reading Mertz ' s fiction series on Egypt and she has always been one of my favorite authors. So I'm a bit disappointed and shocked that this book seems condescending of AE. The tone of this book is almost mocking, and it makes the author appear to look down on the culture she wrote about.

I am determined to finish this book, but it is bad.
