Really appreciate the author addressing that it took a year for the book to be published thus some of the stuff he write (especially related to AI) might be out of date by then.

I decided to start reading this book because of the movie hype. Same style of writing but the context feels much more modern day Jakarta, let's see how it goes.

It's an OK-ish light pop reading that would feel relevant to office workers in the Jakarta Metropolitan area.

This book really went in-depth, maybe a little too much detail for what I was looking for. Great research though.

Interesting and important topic, but way too comprehensive for the day-to-day reader. It starts with Hindu kingdoms in Indonesia and details what happens in each era (Dutch, Japanese, Soekarno, Soeharto, and so on). It is still written in easy-to-understand writing so still bearable.

Took forever but finally finished the first part of the trilogy.

Finally starting again!
