Time to re-read the series.

Only 150 pages left. I will finish this.

This is yet another trilogy where the first book was amazing followed by two mediocre sequels.

I will finish this but then I’m done. It’s so boring. Feels like a fantasy hunger games and I don’t care about any of the characters. It’s the same love triangle nonsense that’s in every book like this.

Sigh….it should have been 200 pages shorter. It would probably be a great book if it was.

Dragging in the middle. Can’t believe this one is 500+ pages.

Do I just not like her books? I am SO BORED.

I’m determined to finish this series. This one is starting off better than the last but it’s pretty weird. The plot line is odd. Seems like the author desperately trying to find a way to bring back the incesty BS of the 2nd and 3rd book.

Sigh…my luck with sequels has been terrible this year. I loved the first book. I read it in an afternoon. It was a fun, quick read. The pacing is so off on this one. The last one was fast paced and exciting. This one is slow and character driven.

Better than book 2 but not as good as the first.

Sigh…this year I’ve read so many books with beautiful covers that turn out to be so slow. I’m really hoping this picks up. It’s long anyway at 450+ pages. I was really hoping the people who said it needed editing were wrong.

Listening to the audiobook. I’m not sure I love the narrator. The accents are way over the top. Wish I had a physical copy instead because I really loved the first book and I’ve been excited about this sequel.

Bit of a slow start but I remain optimistic about this sequel.

If I had a giant fucking magnifying glass, I could not find the plot of this book.

The third book really felt like the end of the series. This one is slow going and the author seems to have no idea where to take the story after writing a book that felt very much like the conclusion. How this series makes it to 6 books, I have no idea.

I’m really struggling to get into this. The writing style is just not that engaging to me and the author started the story in the wrong place so she’s constantly info dumping about past events that occurred before the story starts. It’s so much telling and no showing so far. I was super excited for this one too. I hope it gets better.

700 pages of talking about a war that’s coming. I am losing my mind.

This one feels too long. At nearly 550 pages, it’s a little bloated.

I’m going to finish this. It’s really rough though. No book has ever dragged like this.

Much better than I was expecting for a smut book. It actually has a plot. I’m invested.

I might be done with this series. This is so boring. I’m having the hardest time getting through it. There’s a zillion characters and I’m losing track of all of them. The pacing is awful. Just endless repetitive conversations with various characters about the same shit.

There is no end to Tamlin’s fuckery.

An interesting book from an unusual perspective. I love learning about musicians’ process as writing a song sounds absolutely impossible to someone who isn’t musically inclined like myself.
