DNF unfortunately. The story and characters just fell flat for me. I just couldn't become invested in them. It was surface level with little depth.

An epic culmination to the journey of this series. There was more war & fighting and less of the romantic/sexy times (I missed this a bit) but the character development was incredible. Lysandra continued to shine for me, ever fierce. Aedion goy on my nerves though. Dorian never stood out for me until this book. He really came to life and also Manon grew on me. There were some parts that definitely had a LOTR feel.

There is some disturbing subject matter but overall the book was well written. The pov changes between a radio broadcaster and Sadie, as a mystery of where she disappeared and who killed her sister unfolds. The thing that bothered me was it felt unfinished; I wanted to find out what happened to Sadie in the end.

I adored this book! The chemistry and banter between Josh & Lucy was off the charts. I don't think I have ever smiled and laughed so much while reading a book. This was such a pleasure to read!
