Retired my other “currently reading” books to the shelf in favor of this one.

This book mentions countless instances of medical research conducted on humans without consent. As recently as 1995, John Hopkins knowingly exposed households with children to lead. Western medicine’s failure to recognize its patients as human simply due to race is astounding.

Black scientists used Henrietta’s cells to test the polio vaccine in Tuskegee, the very place black men were injectected with syphyllis well after it was known to be treated by penicillin.
How ironic and infuriating.
