So far it’s clear and accessible. Chapters are short and it doesn’t go in-depth, but it lays out important and related concepts with scriptural support in an easy-to-browse format.

Listening Library produces excellent audiobooks; they’re unabridged but with musical accompaniment that fits just right. And the legendary Jim Dale, of course, is a masterful narrator.

I appreciate that he has a Bible reading plan to go with the devotionals, and simple prompts that are proving good for my journaling. Each day I ask myself, after reading, meditating, and praying:

How is God calling me to think differently today?
How is he re-ordering my loves today?
How should I act today?

This story goes places I truly didn’t expect.
