I’m liking the reflective tone of this so far. It’s good to see Brian having continued to learn even after his previous experiences, and not repeating an old plot.

I read a few of these on my morning walk.

So far it’s mostly a reflection on Brian’s previous survival experiences, his struggle to fit into an urban world, and his plans to return to the wilderness to search for peace and meaning. At a third of the way in, he’s only just setting out to the wilderness again, so I don’t expect a whole lot of plot. But that’s ok. Reading it immediately after the previous books seems right.

This one moves briskly but so far it’s just as interesting and enjoyable as the first one.

I’ve started reading a few pages of these on each of my morning walks. It’s a great way to start the day.
