can't help but thinking about the twenty one pilots unreleased song "drag path" while i read everything lillian went through

i don't even want to thing about all the subtle phrases and expressions that the author is throwing which will come back to haunt me by the end of this book

it's crazy to me that the: be willing to throw their client under the bus if they think said client is guilty. it's just not how the law works ???? everyone deserves a fair and impartial trial. it's not your place, as a lawyer, to judge and punish

i feel like this book has a great premise, but it's one that doesn't have much to twist... so far there's only been one twist. there's two subplots so far, only one of them was interesting and it feels like it's going down. the rest feels like fillers. it's not bad, just slow because not much goes on. im hoping that once i pass the 60% mark, it'll get impossible to put down. send thoughts and prayers !!
