"An Eye in the Throat" beautiful and gut wrenching

Having the time of my life btw - I'm excited to finish it tomorrow but I almost don't want it to be over

This owns so far. Quite possibly the most fun I've ever had with an Abercrombie book

Finally getting back to it!

Always a sucker for the intersection of horror and crime fiction. Really love how this one is starting out

Claustrophobic atmosphere and creeping sense of dread and fucked up lesbian tension and BEES and a voice in the wall that demands a flesh price and increasingly desperate characters all around and heresy and more terrifyingly the possibility that this ISN'T heresy and you knoooooow this isn't going to end well for ANYONE. I needed this. If this sticks the landing it could easily be a top fave of the year

I don't think this is hitting for me the same way it seems to be for other people but I'm not having a BAD time and I wouldn't necessarily be shocked if it managed to really Do Something to me in the last 30 - 40 or so pages here
