Jack Stanley is reading Earth Strike (Star Carrier, #1)
I just finished Earth Strike: Star Carrier: Book One and gave it 5 stars. It's hardcore military science fiction but with an interesting take on the future.

Jack Stanley is finished with Rook (Bridge & Sword #1)
I can't finish this book because I can't abide some of the endless chapters. The writer needs to learn how and when to add chapter breaks. Some chapters are shot you and just right whilst the next will just go on and on. There are many lodigical places where the text could be split into shorter chapters. Sometimes I just want to read little and go to bed. Checkout the last few novels Robert B Parker as examples.

I've decided that after I finish my current Western, A Hard Line Between The Rios, I'm going to start a new mystery series with a Protestant minister as the main character and end each novel with a sermon related to the theme of the book. Yeah, who cares! Bite me!

I just finished Nemesis Rides The Trail. Good book. Not like any other Western I've read -- and yet it had all the elements of a good Western. There are a couple of typos but nothing that really threw me. I liked the way S.J. Bound tells a story. You never get bogged down in the detail but there's enough for you to get the picture.
