Really struggling with the first five chapters of Alchemised. The magic system feels like reading a thick textbook, and the world-building is just so heavy right out of the gate. Because the main characters are so cold and disconnected, I can't find a reason to actually care about them or get invested in the story yet. Hoping the pace picks up soon!
