Holy moley, this book is amazing. Yup, definitely deserves the rating.

One of those constantly nodding in agreement, this-is-articulating-what-I-thought yep-yep-yep books. Well worth it, great reference.

Working hard to pace, see put it down. Just want to read the whole thing at once. So good.

Was hoping for a little bit more than just "agile", but there's still time. The characters are good I think.

Also omg lady you work too hard. "Me" time is 0630-0800 and still people are booking meetings? Unless you're on call that organisation has profound problems.

Same as "Architecture with Python", trying to read linearly but read some juicy later chapters early. Not sure how to represent here.

Actually further as dipping in and out and gone through whole later chapters, but should knock over whole thing.

Very UI/UX design profession focussed. Interesting to see in to the crap they put up with but disappointing as articulating decisions is so doggon hard in all the hand-wavey bit/pixel pushing disciplines.

So much of the advice is general, though deeply enmeshed in visual design. We need an equivalent text for anyone who makes systems/products of any kind.

Yup. everything that they said. This book is amazing. Must be careful not to read all at once, knew it would be a treat.

Twee. Mainstream self-help. But absolutely deserves the rating it's got.

sleeping on it, I'm still annoyed about this book, so far it's so superficial (for a serious reader of non-fiction). Reviewing my queue I haven't read Tools of Titans yet (under the assumption it'd be annoyingly superficial) and I'm sure it will annoy me less, so I'm going to re-shelve this one until the reviews mature a bit and the feeling of ripped-off-ness has faded a bit. I'll finish it but not today.

Another thing I hate is an author telling me how good they are for pages and pages and pages at the beginning. Prove it, don't shove it at me.

I don't want to know that you get up at 2am and meditate for 2 hours and only eat 1 meal a day and everyone who knows you is so jealous of how disciplined you are. Such disgusting egotistism, for shame. NPD? Maybe.

Well, well. For a book about self-discipline so far the author has a outrageous lack of it in a literary sense.

Get to the damn point. Gionvanni. I'm just near the beginning and if he tells me one more time about how good it *would* be to be disciplined rather than actionable advice Imma gonna get pretty frustrated.

Eric mate, hella writing style you've got there. Sapolsky is kind of eccentric in his style but it kind of works is kind of just adds an accent. You're style is just in the reader's face a bit. You're a bit of a weirdo, but I think you know.
