Aargh! This was going so well until the instalust!! It was funny and the plot flowed so well. Why are they having sex already when they just met? 🤦🏻‍♀️

😫 How are you gonna kill this woman’s husband and son and then make her have a miscarriage in the first chapter? You don’t like her much, do you? Why not write her as a single debutante or spinster instead? Why couldn’t she be a widow with two children? 🧐

I’m only a third into this book, and I don’t want it to end. Too short! This book is so good.

When I keep seeing a phrase over and over, I take notice. I just did a search for “blue irises.” It appears in this book 68 times. Ok. The hero has blue eyes. Duly noted.

OMG! Liking the characters so far, but the former educator in me is cringing as I read these sentences. You don’t need “had” before every other verb.

“I had turned.”
“She had plastered.”
“She had scrambled.”
“I had grabbed.”
“I had rolled.”
“She had tried to paw at my chest.”

OMG! I have never been so anxious for a subplot to emerge. Usually, I want most of a romance novel to focus on the relationship between the hero and heroine, but this Alec Kincaid is irritating. Ok, I get it. You're this gigantic laird from the Highlands. You're also a jackass and a male chauvinist. He's gonna have to save Jamie from certain death for me to even like him a little.

Such a gorgeous cover! I opened this E-book and saw the same horror I beheld in the last book I read. There are dozens of short stories of various romance genres! Ugh! I was hoping for one nice novella. I will commit to reading the title story. It had better not be ridiculous!
