Fast moving, love Tess Gerritsen.

I can't stand this book, I hope I finish it, but it's a chore.

She's writes a good thriller.

This is really good

The writing isn't bad, so the repetition isn't as annoying as it would be if the writing wasn't good. 104 footnotes at this point, out of control. I'm tempted to DNF, but as I said, the writing is decent. Hopefully, this will eventually go somewhere.

There's a ridiculous amount of "footnotes" - by page 69 it's at 52. Are you kidding? I think it's supposed to be cute, I find it annoying. The book is OK otherwise. We'll see.

Really, really, creepy, if you enjoy horror, this is for you.

I loved her recent, "The Stolen Queen," and decided to get two of her books from my local library. This is one of them, it's falling flat for me. I hope it picks up.

The narrator owns a bookstore (1/2), lots of book talk and murders, I really am enjoying this.

Second in this series, I really like Tess Gerritsen’s style. I’ve read all her Rizzoli & Isles to date and some of her others. This series is a bit like The Thursday Murder Club, not as cheeky as that but great old spy folks spicing up their retirements.

Really good!

I cannot believe most of this British family embraced Hitler and his beliefs. This book is almost entirely about the Mitfords involvement in fascism and communism, Nancy and her husband Peter are the holdouts, currently in France trying to help Spanish refugees from the Franco mass executions.

A testament to vocabulary this tome. It’s hard to like the main character/narrator, Julia, I get where she’s coming from, but it’s still a task. The author is great with semicolons; admirable.

Gotten much better.

This goes on for 491 pages? I don’t really care for Julia, the main character. Perhaps this might change, there’s so much book left. We’ll see.
