Okay. So Valda isn’t acting like someone who just lost her eyesight and is at the mercy of a woman she can’t see. Is the flirting appropriate? Even if we were progressing to her sleeping with Maris, I’d rather it’d be a power thing than a flirting thing, because she’s spontaneously blind and it hasn’t even been 24 hours and, it’s her birthday when she’s supposed to meet her soulmate. Hmm. Thoughts.

This has been a rich read on lesbianism under closeted systems and the evolution of those systems and relationships. I’ve enjoyed this.

3 Star read. Entertaining enough but nothing too serious.

This is a good book to listen to distractedly. Things are happening yet nothing is happening. (40%)

Okay. I think I get it. This will be a mid read for me likely (unless maybe the suspense plot builds better in the second half) because I’ll get tired of the smut.

The writing is part cringe (when writing on sex) and well done when writing on other things. The story is also interesting. Still following it. (39%)

Really informative. Having some really good considerations about the case of societies with not primitive opinions on SSA and how people with SSA engage in that society despite the social constraints.

The writing style for conversation is quite cringe but the story is interesting. I’m enjoying it. (30%)

I still don’t understand what I’m reading. But at least the narration is nice and relaxing.

This is exactly what I need. Cleanse me from that awful reading experience. Some paranormal romance.

I’ll give it one star for this failed romantic gesture. It was comedic enough. Happy to be done with this shit.

All that being said, I already know Marcella is a vampire and is the villain. But she’s such a romantic villain. I don’t know if I’ll hate her when the time comes. I’m utterly charmed.

Okay. I can see how I could have read this book without engaging in it. It’s entertaining and it’s fast paced but I don’t know if it stays with you after. It’s a classic beach read.
