Making some real progress now. Page 206. Things are really happening. Not sure how much I can get in line with the happenings, but I'm committed now.

I read the cover flap. I know what's coming. I love, love, LOVE that he's taking his time getting there. I can't tell you how excited I am to have finally found a book that grabs my interest and doesn't preach pronouns at me.
This early stage character dev and world building is exactly what I love. If it adds a hundred pages to a book, I say BRING IT. I want to stay in the universe as long as possible if I like it.

It's moving along. I'm not uninterested, that's for sure. Still in the initial cloud phase of the ignorant reader. It looks though, as if I might finally have found something to read.

It's good so far but I'm worried about what I know because of reviews. I wish I hadn't read them.

I'm really into this one now. I'm digging the hell out of Mr Palmer's writing style.

I'm floored by how thoughtful this is. Very well conceived.

Oh boy. I'm at the good part.

If it was Friday night, I'd stay up and finish this book tonight. Sigh.

This one is way too hard to put down. These guys thought of everything. Love it.

Digging this so far. He gets right to the awesome.

This is fantastic. Good story-line. But more than that, I love the telling. I am really liking this author's style.

I love the nostalgia of rereading this novel that was so great in my childhood. And it holds up!

Taking a break from Nance. This is refreshing. Light and fun.

Getting a little better.

Losing hope for this one. The suspension of disbelief is getting too hard to handle.

Mr Nance uses the word 'stacatto' like I use the word 'and'. Gah. But the book is good so far.

This one's not gonna get a lot of stars. Stress dialog just isn't his strong suit.

The only complaint I have is the weak language these characters use. I'm all for avoiding foul language whenever possible, but words like 'jeez' should never be used in fiction writing when dealing with a hijacking. Not even remotely believable dialog.

Off to a great start. Hard to put down.

Moving along nicely. I'm kind of over the sex though. Every chance he gets, someone is accidentally discovering how "well endowed" some woman is. Or how pleasing to the eye she is. Obviously none of the women in a John J Nance novel are anything less than gorgeous. Rolleyes. Otherwise I see where it's going and it's looking good.

I feel like Tiny Elvis reading this. "This thing's huge, man!"

I'm enraptured. Incredible.

Too exhausted to do due diligence on this tonight. But still clipping along.
