I read this series once 10 years ago. I guess I’ll see how much my opinion on it changes.

Sometimes the best thing you can do in life is to go after what you want. True success is marrying the person you love, and working the job you take the most enjoyment in. It’s not necessarily more noble to go after some self sacrificial higher calling. In fact, sometimes that noble aspiration is just stupid, because you can’t know if it will really work out to anyone’s betterment.

Fascinating so far.

45% in 2 weeks is pretty good, right?? I feel like I am making progress, which is always welcome. And it IS interesting.

Will Ladislaw is my favorite character this far. Dorothea and Mary Garth are high contenders as well though (Dorothea mainly because of how fleshed out she is and Mary because she’s a Queen).
