I'm sort of hitting a wall with this book and plan to give it a bit of a rest.

I am just going to say that I am struggling to finish this book.

The first two books of this series did not suck. They were just fine. I need to admit here that Brett is losing me early on in this book. Ren is annoying and for some reason our Warded Man has demonstrably crappier language skills when he is hanging with her. I was just skipping through some pages to find the end of this boring Arlen/Ren horse ride and it seems like I have a ways to travel.

This marks what is probably the 50th time I have read this book.

Re-read! I love this book so much that I'm diving in for the 2nd time.

Honestly, I do want to read this book. But am I the only one that feels that these "new" Mistborn novels are taking Sanderson away from writing another Elantris, Warbreaker, or Way of Kings? Seriously, how long can we keep Kaladin waiting? I'll dig in to this soon, but it's just not the same as reading his more complex works. Sigh.

I'm finally treating myself to another dose of Brandon Sanderson. It's a little like coming home to a best friend.

crap. I think I've found another fantasy series to occupy all of my meager reserves of free time. I just dumped my library copy and purchased this book along with book #2.

This is turning out to be more than I expected...in a good way. The method of storytelling here took a while for me to get used to, but I've "caught on". I'm hooked.

I can't even with this book. I fully expect everyone to be stone dead by the end of this journey and I'm already shedding real tears.

I just know that this book is going to be crushing. But I must go on...

I'm fairly sure that I have never wanted to tell the world to bugger off and find a nice hiding spot for reading like I do in this moment. Seriously, world. Just let me finish this book in peace. Stop interrupting me.

Shallan wants to know how Adolin can possibly "poop" while wearing shardplate. Hilarious. She has got to be one of my favorite literary characters ever. But besides this, I'm so in love with this book right now that I'm not looking forward to breaking from it for my own birthday dinner.

So good from the opening sequence of events. I knew Sanderson wouldn't fail me!

Yeah. I'm still here. Another major character introduction. Another character/location that has nothing to do with the others. was this really 5 books that were puzzled into one? ugh.
