MsAliceP is starting The Running Grave (Cormoran Strike, #7)
Wow! 960 pages! This one is longer than Ink Black Heart. Good thing I'm ahead on my reading challenge 'cause this one is gonna take a while.

MsAliceP is on page 378 of 608 of Moonflower Murders (Susan Ryeland, #2)
Had to do some math to determine how many pages I have actually read. I am finding this book-within-a-book structure annoying. Only determination to finish prevents me from tossing this one into the reject pile.

MsAliceP is starting Halfskin Boxed (Halfskin, #1-3; Unreality #4-6)
Finished book 1 - give it 3+ stars for originality.

Started book 2 - lost interest; may return later.

MsAliceP is starting American by Day (Sheldon Horowitz #3)
P. 24 - "She might have complained, though, because the cashier tried to stack the returned coins on top of the slippery receipt rather than handing over the coins first. They slid off and fell to the floor.
"Sorry. That happens all the time," the girl says.
"So why do you keep doing it?" Sigrid asks.
"What?"

I think I might be part Norwegian.

Stalled out on this one. No action, just a droning storytelling by a wannabe film maker. The story of the Goldens is, in itself, interesting, just told in a not-particularly-engaging style.

MsAliceP is on page 192 of 342 of Night Watch (Kendra Michaels, #4)
Predictible. Too much bodice ripper. Why is it that these dual-authored books are only half as good as each of the authors' separate writings? I have been ignoring the dual-authored books, but didn't notice Roy Johansen's name on the bottom of the cover on this one.

Can I finish this? Yawn. Well, it's raining and I might be bored enough to carry on.

p.79 - "Lying in bed this morning, I had set the bar laughably low: look people in the eye, get dressed, smile! It should have been a Sunday drive. Then that prankster Reality appeared in the pickup truck ahead of me and started tossing watermelons out the back. And it wasn't even one o'clock!"
