I’ve never had to fight so hard not to DNF this late in a book.

I’m really about to DNF my first book of the year because what in the juvenile fuck am I reading

I’m honestly just trucking through at this point because the premise and world building is good. The first book left me uncertain if I loved or hated the MMC, and I felt very torn on the FMC as well.

Book two so far has me absolutely hating the FMC. I’ve never experienced a more whiney, self-centered, dramatic protagonist in my life. Half the time I’m siding with the MMC I at first couldn’t stand.

So far… this isn’t even Stockholm syndrome, it’s just stupidity
