Back at it again with a reread 🥰

Rereading and my god. Still so rich and beautiful but where I was seeing grief in losing a love one the first read. This time I’m seeing the grief in losing someone you thought you knew. Grieving a relationship and watching someone you love become unrecognizable.

I don’t hate this but it’s quite overwhelming. So many timelines and dead memories. The farther in we get the harder it is for me to understand and keep up with.

Very interesting so far. Not bored but starting to get a little convoluted.

This series is profound and enthralling and beautiful and heartbreaking. Everyone needs to read this. Best YA Fantasy series hands down.

I’m just really glad we are getting to the meat of it! This series is phenomenal there’s just a good amount of world building in the beginning of these books that can be fairly slow. It’s not excruciating or terrible at all. It’s just a classic case of laying everything out before continuing to build.

Margaret’s story is the most interesting thing about this story. Would’ve been better if her story was the main focus. Like delve into her and Cosmo’s romance more!
Hayden and Alice are boring and lack chemistry hardcore.

I think I just listened to a spicy scene? Not 100% because I zoned out for all of it. Also apparently he’s in love with her too? Based on nothing…..uggghhh Emily why’d you do me like this?!

UGH! I now they’re in love?! Based on what?! There’s been like no freaking build up! 😤

I think I have figured out what my issue with this is. It’s supposed to be a romance and I am just not feeling the chemistry between the FMC and MMC. I just don’t feel it so their scenes together aren’t impactful for me.

Yeah I’m having a hard time getting through this one. Maybe it’s me, but these characters and this story are just not super compelling for me. Not badly written or conceptualized but kinda boring to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ugh it’s just not grabbing me like Funny Story, Book Lovers and Happy Place. 😭
