Rereading this a 4th time in a week. It might just be my favorite book of all time - just the sheer amount of things Calvino makes you think about and question in this ~100 page novella is astounding. I know if on a winters night a traveler is considered by many as his best work; but this one has a special place in my heart or do I mean mind? Or would calvino laugh at me for trying to distinguish between the 2

I LOVE LOVE LOVE READING INTRODUCTIONS TO CLASSIC BOOKS.

Like yes tell me why this stood the test of time, why its relevant even now and about the authors personal life and circumstances when writing the book

Diomedes i was not aware of ur game.

Had chills when "godlike" Diomedes attacks Aphrodite and the goddess cries to her mother "The violent fighting is now no longer Trojans against Greeks. The Greeks are fighting the immortal gods!"
