this book makes me want to scream in agony, but in a good way

okay it is starting to get interesting now! maybe it will actually pull through

had really been looking forward to this book but still not hooked :(

this book is remarkable, if not just for the fact that in less than 150 pages i have encountered at least 5 english words (i.e. not world building words/names) that i don't know and can't recall ever having come across before. 5! for me that doesn't even happen with whole books nowadays!
oh and the plot and worldbuilding is also really intriguing. excited to read more!

finally picked up this one again after too long a break. i'm intending to finish it quickly since things are really getting interesting now!

nothing like a little bit of climate dread and eco-anxiety to start your day

super interesting eventhough it is taking me an eternity to get through. oh well, course lit is like that isn't it?

i finally plucked this off my shelf, feeling like i now could give it the attention it deserves given the subject matter. it isn't the sort of book i would usually read, but i find it too important to pass up on. it has already proven to mix the gruesome with the mundane, presenting the horrors and tragedy with a sense of detachment, as woule be expected when one is met with overwhelming amounts of death and violence

why am i suddenly reading non-fiction about the climate? do i finally have energy and attention to spare? is my climate anxiety more manageble than i thought?

i find myself surprised by how much i appreciate reading this book. i started reading it out of a feeling of necessity, worried that it would induce a sense of anxiety and panic. but it is strangely reassuring, despite it all. instead of feeling anxious it gives me a sense of urgency. urgency is productive. anxiety just makes me freeze up.
+ every essay is perfectly bite sized = very little time commitment. love it!

i didnt expect to be this hooked... it looks like im finishing this tonight 😅

very intriguing so far! cant wait to read more!!

i remember being very angry at some events when i read this the first time. now that i'm at that part again i remember exactly how upsetting it is and how i just want to scream. this book is amazing but i just want everyone to be happy (minus those 3 primary assholes) and that isn't happening yet
