This book is much more serious and sad than I expected from the cover and popular votes on it. I needed to return the library copy as it was a short time loan so I can take more space with this book.

So far, this seems like it's like that 7 1/2 deaths of Evelyn something or other. AKA the book that I couldn't get past the first 20 pages.

I do like Emily Henry's characters and writing, and I pre ordered this book months before it came out as so many of her books have been top notch.

So I'm holding out hope this gets more interesting.

I'm only an hour into this and I've fallen asleep 4 times. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to get through this one before it needs to go back to the Libby library app. It's the sound of the main character's voice and accent and generally nothing happening yet.

Finished with book 1. I liked reading better than this audiobook version, but it's good to read it again. I know it gets darker, more violent, especially one later in the series. I think this one though.

The music in the background while the author narrates the story is driving me nuts. My ADHD can't filter out the music to hear the words. Struggling with a story that shouldn't be a struggle.

Trying this one again, as I'm feeling like being devastated.

Putting my stuffie away, and listening during the day when no one is home for this one. Even though I'm a grown woman.

I heard this is violent, but the least spicy of the group, while being spicy. So here we go.

I used to listen to extra spice, but nowadays, I read little to no spice. So I can't say if this will be the best for me at this time. Let's go.

Go Yell it on the mountain is one of my favorite scenes in this book. So clever.

Some pretty intense mommy issues going on in this one.

Kind of like "Beach Read" by Emily Henry, which has that sweet title, but is someone reaching cults.

This is supposed to be a romance, right? A little bit of dating, and a whole lot of dealing with moms who don't mom in the momming way.

This is on the audible plus catalog, so I'm listening to it for free to go to sleep to or for taking naps. It's interesting enough of a story, but also puts me to sleep. Maybe it's the narrator, as an older sounding, potentially British woman is not what I expected for this story. I never saw the movie, but I'm curious on if this story is more interesting in the animated version.

This one has a slow start but I'm curious now

This book is so much drama, that I literally have to take breaks from it. But I don't want to take too much of a break or I don't know what's going on. I had to already listen to the first 4 hours of the book again. I miss Jameson. Sigh.

My favorite fall to sleep book, which means I'm giving the series another listen

Man, I wish there was warning before this real PTSD flashback moment here. That was not what I expected. Too much at the moment.

I love Suzy Jackson voice, which is how I found this series was searching for more books that she narrated. Yet, Suzy Jackson as Bastille? I can't see it yet. I'm so used to her voice from the Mystwick Musikcraft series that my brain keeps getting confused. Oh well.
