It has started bogging down with politics and people sitting around talking about doing things but never doing anything. The story has pulled away from firekeeper and blind seer's perspectives. Sadly, that's the part that interests me. I feel like we are getting teased with the idea of magic and adventure but not actually seeing any of it. I hope it picks back up soon.

I'm loving this book. This is my first time annotating a book too. I'm really enjoying it. Well written and well paced.

I'm really enjoying this so far. I think it's really cute.

Funny and quirky at first. But derails a lot into constant gags. Some gags are pages long. The sci-fi part isn't very good. It's really vague and ridiculous in how it explains the science parts. I thought this was going to be an adventure but there's really no adventuring yet. The characters are flat and void of internal monolog. So we really don't know them personally.

I like it a lot. It's pretty funny. Though sometimes the way it's written, it's hard to understand everything that's happening.

It's alright I guess. Has some usefull tips and general ideas. But I don't think they express them very well. And some of their rules seem like they would stifle creativity. It seems to be aimed towards pleasing an editor or company.

Very engaging story. Detailed and well written for the most part. But very depressing so far. There is no reliefe at all, no humor, no spark of hope. Some things I think may be attempts at this but aren't enough to balance how miserable and disgusting everyone and everything is. Every character is horrible except of course the speaker. Everything around her is repulsive, lots of references to things being slimy. Ick.

Excellent advice and a lot to think about. But I'm getting tired of them calling me an amateur and a hack. Insulting the reader is very distracting. And the way they talk about how a an expert would write something feels demeaning and discouraging. We all have to start somewhere and have to build our skill. But they keep talking about writing skill as if you're either a master or an amateur. No in-between.

Pretty good. The story is written in a very story teller kind of way. It's making it a beautiful read, but also contrasts the story itself which is rather crude and humble. I've only read about her childhood so far. Of course I skip anything graphic the best I can.

This so far is just someone's ideas about creativity being a spiritual practice. Lots of personal feelings about what creativity is.

Loving it!

Interesting...I'm at the point where they are talking a lot about shapes and lines and what they mean. Getting a little bored. I feel like my mind won't retain any of this. The beginning was good though. I thought this book was going to be about intuitive art. It's not quite that. It's more about abstract art I guess.

Could we possibly postpone the story any longer? Im almost half way through and she still has not started out on the "adventure" with him. The book say "In every adventure there must be passion..." But there has been neither of those things yet.
