So far I’m noticing that the tv show is very faithful to the book, things are just slightly arranged differently.

It’s interesting to see how women in Celtic myths are depicted; often if they have any power or desire for it they are villainized. Granted most these myths were preserved by Christian clergy.

I’ve been watching the TV show & the latest episode had me NEEDING to read the book!

I just finished reading chapter 7 which mostly covered gender, gender roles, & potential gender that didn’t fit our binary ideas around gender today, very fascinating read. Queer people whether we had the language for ourselves have always been here, including among the Vikings.

I am fascinated by the contents of this book.

Done! Perfect ending!

The story is progressing very nicely.

I’m loving this book, it’s opening up a whole new world to the Vikings I never knew.

This writing exercises are growing more challenging.

I’m enjoying the read, it’s quite interesting to learn about just how often the Norse Gods rely on trickery & oath-breaking in the myths.

I’m intrigued by the mentions of seidr magic.

Just bought this book today, so far very informative!
