This is a book written with other theologians & academics in mind, & not much for the everyday person wanting to understand Pelagius better.

This is not an especially thick book, but it’s text is tiny so the seeming length is rather deceiving. It took me over an hour to read just some 20 pages thus far, so the text is rather dense.

The author speaks a lot about Pelagius’s opponents in chapter one & less on the man himself. I hope that changes.

Well…things have made a turn in a most unpleasant direction.

The romance has become very sweet at this point, despite a rough beginning.

The book is getting better.

The love interest is still sexist but is perhaps maybe learning to be better.

I’m 2 chapters into this book & so far am enjoying it. The prose are lovely & the protagonist spunky. But one thing I didn’t care for is her love interest laughing along with her getting sexually harassed by another man. Gross. I hope they’re won’t be more of that as I read.

Okay I’m starting to like the book now & see why it’s so well regarded.

Have to read more slowly to fully comprehend what I’m reading.

I think this book may be religious & preachy.

So far a rather oddly paced book, with a thing or two to say about today’s education system (or I should say the education system from when this book was published in the 60s).

Ahh! So close to the end! I don’t know how they’re going to resolve everything that’s happening in just 100 more pages!
