Done. Finally.

I’m begging to finally get to the revenge!

I am officially annoyed and even a bit angered by the contents of this book.

It’s gotten rather slow in the middle.

I’m at a point where I’m fact checking this as I read.

I spoke too soon when I said I found this characterization of Anne was believable, the bits that are true about the woman do but there’s also a lot of leaning into contemporary feminist ideas through her narration. Which I find quite honestly a bit jarring and take me out of the story, I was hoping for this story to be more grounded into the 1500s.

So far Anne feels appropriately akin to a woman of the 1500s, or at least based on what little knowledge of the time period I have. Sympathetic but also flawed in the ways I expected and hoped to find.

Just bought this book in Chicago, I just HAD to read it just based off the premise alone. The infamous Anne Boleyn awakes after her beheading & seeks out vengeance against Henry VII! I’m hoping for a good woman’s rage story. <3

This woman was definitely eccentric, I love her.

A so far fascinating look into the mind and perspective of one of Europe’s greatest performers, and WWII hero.

Getting to the point where Elizabeth ventures on a tour through Europe!

It’s interesting & disheartening to read reviews of Elizabeth’s musical talent accompanied by at times backhanded compliments in regard to her being a black woman.

Currently reading this biography to research historical and musical African American icons for my book. So far the story of The titular Black Swan is a profound & fascinating one.

I love this book, I’m so glad I decided to read it for a second time. I’m truly appreciating the text now.

This book’s prose is so beautiful.

I’m re-reading this book more slowly & annotating as I go. I truly feel like I understand the text so much better than on my first read.

I’ve finished The Hedge Knight, it was an excellent read I definitely recommend fans of the show read & anyone interested in a simple tale about one of the small folk.

Book & show definitely have their own strengths & weaknesses; the book I think characterizes Dunk a bit better. And I prefer the overall tone of the book.

I am rooting for Margot, I want her to make it out of this damned house and away from the fucking peach wallpaper.

Interesting if not a slow start.
